Vaanavil Padalthiran Potti - A Brief History
    

ASTRO Vaanavil had initially started this event on a small scale. Despite having difficulties in the first few stages, the event turned out to be a great success. The passion for music brings together a great number of talented locals to participate and compete in this mega event.
 
The local's enthusiastic performance in every stage encourages us to anticipate and move forward with a lot of excitement in both prizes and the programme agenda. To spice up the event, we make it a point to invite prestigious Music Directors from India to be our judges for the final rounds. This mega event is a platform for the locals to reveal their hidden talents and to find the next best performer in the music industry.

 

Vaanavil Talent Quest

ASTRO Vaanavil proudly presented its first ever Malaysian Indian Talent Search Competition. It was broadcasted LIVE from Studio 1, All Asia Broadcast Centre. It proved to be the most interesting competition ever held as it was open to the young men and women bursting with fresh talents. Confidence, talent and charisma was what it took to win the Finals.

This grand final was hosted by Anand and Latha. They presented this event with great ease and charm. Our local performers coloured the event with their wonderful performances.

 The grand prize for the VTQ 2002 finals was a KIA car plus RM5,000 cash (First Prize), RM3,000 cash (Second Prize) and RM2,000 cash (Third Prize). This prestigious event was hosted by Govind and Bhavani. They made a great combination in presenting the event.

Astro Vaanavil carried the grand final live from Genting, Arena of Stars. It was a great achievement for Vaanavil. This event was hosted by Govind and Sumitha. The audience were thrilled with their exceptional compere skills and the great performances of all our local talents.

For the first time, Astro Vaanavil organized the Vaanavil Paadalthiran Potti 2004(VPP04) in the North Region, Penang. We had received overwhelming response from the Vaanavil Paadalthiran Potti fans especially those spectators from Penang. The participants’ performances were exceptional; the fans support was even grander. The grand prize for the VPP04 2004 finals was a KIA Optima car plus RM5,000 cash (First Prize), RM3,000 cash (Second Prize) and RM2,000 cash (Third Prize). Jayarajendran and Sivagami anchored this one of its kind Vaanavil In-House production.

Astro Vaanavil succesfully organized the Vaanavil Paadalthiran Potti 2005(VPP'05) in different style at Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam on 28 August 2005. VPP 05 final contestants have produced brilliant performance which uplift Astro Vaanavil a step higher than any other pay TV broadcast station in Malaysia. The grand prize for the VPP05 finals was a Nissan Sentra car
plus RM5,000 cash (First Prize), RM3,000 cash (Second Prize) and RM2,000 cash (Third Prize). Jayarajendran and Shubashini anchored this breathtaking event.
